The working curriculum for grades 10-11 is based on the following documents:

The basic content of general secondary education is specified by curricula, which are developed in accordance with the expected learning outcomes, established taking into account the specifics of specialized education: compulsory academic subjects and core academic subjects of natural sciences, mathematics and social sciences and humanities.
The standard part of the educational content is concentrated in the invariant learning load. The total volume of organized educational activities of students in grades 10-11 is:
– 10th grade: 34 hours of invariant component, 2 hours of variable component (Global competencies, Elective courses)
- 11th grade: 34 hours of invariant component, 2 hours of variable component (Global Competencies, Elective courses)
The maximum weekly workload of students at the general secondary education level is no more than 34 hours per week in each class.
The working curriculum consists of two parts: invariant and variable. The standard part of the educational content is concentrated in the invariant learning load.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, the course "Global Competencies" in grades 5-11 is included in the variable component of the Standard Curriculum. Global competencies are becoming particularly important due to the growing impact of globalization, rapid social, economic and technological changes, as well as other important global issues that have a widespread impact on people, cultures and nations.
The course is aimed at developing a competitive personality with the competencies of global citizenship, understanding the interconnectedness and interdependence of local and global issues, issues of intercultural interaction, critical analysis and evaluation of various points of view and worldviews, skills of creating original knowledge and ideas. The course content includes the development of research skills and the search for relevant information, critical thinking and reflection, and communication skills. The designated goals and objectives of the course provide for continuity and interrelation with the content of secondary education, expand the educational content as an integral part of the learning process.
The workload of the Standard Curriculum of the Global Competencies course in grades 10-11 is 1 hour per week, 34 hours per academic year.
The Global Competencies course for 11th grade includes two units, Fundamentals of Business and Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy.
In grades 10-11, the content of the Global Competencies course will ensure a systematic process of developing students' skills in the subject area (hard skills), socialization skills (soft skills), self-education and continuing education skills (self skills).
10th grade: Global Competencies course - 1 hour (34 hours)
The curriculum of the elective course "Global Competencies" has been developed within the framework of the State Mandatory Standard of General Secondary Education.
The course program lasts for 34 hours and consists of five sections.
The purpose of the course is to develop students' understanding of the interconnectedness and interdependence of local and global issues, issues of intercultural interaction, understanding and evaluating different points of view and worldviews, and skills for creating original knowledge and ideas. The course content program includes five sections, developed taking into account the age characteristics and interests of students.
Course objectives:
1) develop students' critical and analytical thinking, communication and research skills;
2) develop the ability to recognize, analyze, evaluate information, formulate arguments, explain complex situations or problems; 3) promote the development of the ability to recognize one's own cultural identity and understand the cultural diversity of the world, intercultural differences;
4) teach to show respect and openness to interaction with representatives of different cultures;
5) develop the ability to work with digital resources, e-learning platforms, the Internet and websites;
6) to instill the skill of observing the rules of academic integrity.
11th grade: Global Competencies course 1 hour (34 hours)
The Global Competencies course for 11th grade includes two units, Fundamentals of Business and Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy.
In grades 10-11, the content of the Global Competencies course will ensure a systematic process of developing students' subject-related skills (hard skills), socialization skills (soft skills), self-education and continuing education (self skills).
In general, within the framework of teaching "Global Competencies" in grades 10-11 of secondary education, students will acquire the skills of analytical and evaluative understanding of global events, their causes and consequences, various processes and phenomena, their correct correlation with the national and cultural values of other people, independent and teamwork, managing their own learning process with the support of a mentor teacher, considering important issues. problems from personal, regional/national and global perspectives, understanding their interrelationships, and critically evaluating available information, discussing and arguing one's position, actively interacting with the outside world, seeing the prospects for personal growth, the development of one's country and personal involvement in its achievements.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, this course will be taught in grades 10-11 by the history teacher G.I. Kucekbayeva, a research teacher.
Elective courses of the variable component in grades 10-11 are aimed at deepening the Natural-mathematical direction. In grades 10-11, the Elective Chemistry course
"Preparation for final certification in Chemistry" is 1 hour (34 hours)
